Video Smackdown: Zoom Versus Loom!

Creating more impact, influence and income with video is easier and faster than ever…

Two of my favorite (and free) tools for quick video are Zoom and Loom (Boom!)

Here’s the scoop on each and how you can use each:

ZOOM (zoom.us) – Arguably, the single most important tool in my video arsenal is Zoom, which makes it stupid simple to record yourself, your screen, or both. Even better, you can use Zoom for group coaching video calls, screen share demo videos, video webinars, and even for Facebook Live.

Zoom is like the swiss army knife of video tools… I use it every day for coaching calls, creating video tutorials and course, and plain old on-camera recording. The free version of Zoom will allow you to record for up to 40 minutes. Paid versions give you additional features and functionality, like the ability to go direct to Facebook Live.

LOOM (useloom.com) Loom is a relatively new player in the video space, but one that I’ve enthusiastically adopted. Loom is a free Google Chrome extension (like an app) that allows you to record you or your screen, or both at the same time. Loom puts your video in a cute little inset, so you can be seen while you’re describing what’s on your screen.

I use loom to record personal video emails. (As the service says, it’s faster than typing emails!) It’s incredibly easy to record your video and then send it out via Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Loom provides a user friendly experience both for the sender and the viewer.

So who wins in the Zoom vs. Loom show-down? That’s easy: YOU win!
